young pioneer: oh how you suffer // Pratt Institute - 2013

Modernity taught us to remain esoteric in our agendas. The supposed radicalism of the 60's failed, burned up in marketing strategies and management theories. Now we're left with information architecture and systems design. Malevich to Matisse. Microsoft to Macintosh. All paramount to production methods. Current affairs are currency fairs. Self-image is only as valuable as it's believability. Beuys called it mythology. Pepsi calls it branding. If it's not progress we might just be ego-drifting through authentic experience. Art as abstract/enigmatic/obvious display solution. Casually strolling a void, infinitely more connected yet consistently more alone.
